Abstract
Verrucous elephantiasis is a special form of stage III lymphedema. Extensive deformation may cause immobility, and recurrent infections may be dangerous to life. Even in serious cases, conservative treatment (complex physiotherapy) may prove to ne very successful. Surgery is not indicated as a treatment of first choice, but it may be very helpful in addition to physiotherapy.
